Draft FSRA Joint Standard 1* of 2019 on margin requirements for non-centrally cleared over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority and the Prudential Authority, acting with the concurrence of the South African Reserve Bank, today (8 April 2019) published the following documents:

  • FSRA Joint Communication 2 of 2019: Draft Joint Standard on margin requirements for non-centrally cleared over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions
  • Notice regarding the publication of the draft Joint Standard on margin requirements for non-centrally cleared over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions and invitation to make submissions in terms of the Financial Sector Regulation Act, 2017
  • Draft FSRA Joint Standard 1* of 2019: Margin requirements for non-centrally cleared over-the-counter (OTC) derivative transactions
  • Consultation Report: Draft FSRA Joint Standard 1* of 2019
  • Statement of the need for, expected impact and intended operation of a regulatory instrument
  • Annexure A: Comments Template

Submissions on the Joint Standard and Statement using the comments template (a word format is available on the website) may be submitted in writing to PA-Standards@resbank.co.za for the attention of Ms Lyle Horsley and FSCA.JointStandardComments@fsca.co.za for the attention of Ms Elmarie Hamman by close of business on 20 May 2019.
